About Dancers of Chippenham

 

Dancers of Chippenham began life as a specialist centre for teaching Ballroom and Latin American Dance in 1994, mainly for adults but with an increasing demand from children wanting to learn dance skills.  In 1998 the school moved to Cricketts Lane, offering a permanent studio with the best maple sprung floor in the South West area. 

In 2004, having decided to expand, a new extension was built to cover the theatre side of dancing.  In the four years since the expansion took place, the school has made major additions to its programme with not just Ballet, but Tap, Jazz, Irish, Scottish and Modern dancing classes taking place during the week. 

The school is now a centre of excellence with an additional two new purpose built studios added, one for Ballet with a wonderful Harlequin activity floor with a cascade finish, bars and mirrors and one for Modern and Tap with a Harlequin fiesta floor.  A shoe and clothes shop was built above the studios.
